The Forum will feature the two candidates vying for the seat vacated by Ben Ray Lujan - Jerome Block, Jr. (D) and Rick Lass (G). To date, this is the only Forum featuring both candidates. The New Mexico Public Regulation Commission (PRC) is the largest regulatory body in the state of New Mexico and has oversight into many areas that impact business. The PRC regulates utilities, telecommunications, motor carriers, and insurance industries, including title insurance. Additionally, this body is responsible for the registration of all corporations doing business in New Mexico. The purpose of the forum is to help business leaders get to know Mr. Block and Mr. Lass, and each candidate's stance on important issues facing business in New Mexico. The forum will be moderated by Beverlee J. McClure, President and CEO of the Association of Commerce and Industry. PRC District 3 spans parts of 10 counties and includes areas in Rio Rancho, Santa Fe, and Taos. The public is invited to come and learn more about the PRC and listen to each candidate's position on important issues facing current and future employers in New Mexico.
